İlhan Sait showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İzzet Hazer in the 7th minute of the match. Malatya's Vecdi İhlas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, İzzet Hazer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vecdi İhlas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NARTHY ARENA's İlhan Sait played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İzzet Hazer in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, NARTHY ARENA's Yasin Erbay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Refik Adıyaman. Ahmet Refik Adıyaman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Vecdi İhlas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Malatya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vecdi İhlas couldn't finish the play. İlhan Sait was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İzzet Hazer in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İlhan Sait saved NARTHY ARENA from getting behind. After some careless play in the NARTHY ARENA defense, İzzet Hazer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İlhan Sait. The NARTHY ARENA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İlhan Sait should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karahan Uğurhan during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Malatya were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yasin Erbay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, NARTHY ARENA's İlhan Sait got control of the ball when İzzet Hazer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Vacib Devrim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vecdi İhlas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. İlhan Sait tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, NARTHY ARENA's Mustafa Namık Oyman got a free kick in the 68th minute. A hard shot by Ahmet Koralp Tetiker from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got İlhan Sait's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. İlhan Sait came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Malatya's İzzet Hazer. But to his dismay, İzzet Hazer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 79 minutes into the game, Vecdi İhlas lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated İlhan Sait. 90 minutes into the match, NARTHY ARENA's goal looked a bit too open when Vecdi İhlas came free, but İlhan Sait reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Vecdi İhlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İlhan Sait saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yasin Erbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malatya's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
