Abdi Saygın Hastimur started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Antalyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Saygın Hastimur came free, but Haluk Dokuzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Cafer Sidar hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Haluk Dokuzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahri Sertel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Cafer Sidar was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ali Cafer Sidar hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Şener Masum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bahri Sertel charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bahri Sertel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cevahir Karasu's late challenge caught a Altay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cevahir Karasu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Antalyaspor getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cevahir Karasu hit a great ball. Haluk Dokuzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şener Masum in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahri Sertel in the 22nd minute of play forced Antalyaspor's goalkeeper Haluk Dokuzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haluk Dokuzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şener Masum's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The Altay fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Altay's Şener Masum looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Haluk Dokuzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hasan Yaves in the 26th minute of play. Abdi Saygın Hastimur struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Haluk Dokuzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altay. After a rather tough play, Altay's Ceyhun Temizsoy got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ceyhun Temizsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altay's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceyhun Temizsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haluk Dokuzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abdi Saygın Hastimur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Haluk Dokuzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Şener Masum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdi Saygın Hastimur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Haluk Dokuzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altay's Ruhi Sayraç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Altay from getting a goal against them. Antalyaspor's Haluk Dokuzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhun Temizsoy in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Antalyaspor's Yavuz Rebi got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Antalyaspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Altay were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Hakkı Onur Sebukalp made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Antalyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Abdi Saygın Hastimur came free, but Haluk Dokuzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haluk Dokuzer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 62 played minutes Altay got a freekick which was hit by Abdi Saygın Hastimur. Şakir Işık kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Haluk Dokuzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdi Saygın Hastimur's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. A hard shot 71 in the game by Şener Masum from a close distance when the talented Haluk Dokuzer managed to make a qualified save. Antalyaspor's players were relieved. Şener Masum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Haluk Dokuzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdi Saygın Hastimur in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haluk Dokuzer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bahri Sertel hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceyhun Temizsoy got free with Haluk Dokuzer in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Rebi in the 81st minute of play forced Altay's goalkeeper Ruhi Sayraç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yavuz Rebi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Şener Masum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Abdi Saygın Hastimur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdi Saygın Hastimur received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Haluk Dokuzer came out and tried to block the shot, but Abdi Saygın Hastimur slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 93rd minute. Altay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
