The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, KaRaCaLı's Haşmet Celilay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Burhanettin Akay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 minutes, Sancar Erşahan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DemirKalkanGücü and the KaRaCaLı players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, one of DemirKalkanGücü:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Burhanettin Akay had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Arkın Kutunalp's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 11th minute of the match KaRaCaLı got a corner. DemirKalkanGücü's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arkın Kutunalp ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for KaRaCaLı. Arkın Kutunalp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Burhanettin Akay. 0-2. After 15 minutes, Seyit Ülkümen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KaRaCaLı and the DemirKalkanGücü players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Seyit Ülkümen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Yağızhan Akçabay throw himself and got hold of the ball when Haydar Derelioğlu in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Akgün Kökşin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yağızhan Akçabay. That made the score 1-2 in the 40 minute of play. Tarık Candar hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, DemirKalkanGücü's goal looked a bit too open when Seyit Ülkümen came free, but Burhanettin Akay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Akgün Kökşin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haydar Derelioğlu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Akgün Kökşin managed to get in a good position for a shot. DemirKalkanGücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Akgün Kökşin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
