The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Kagithane SK's Devran Karasu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Abdurrezzak Başok struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Egemen Bayraktar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menderes FK. After 17 played minutes Menderes FK got a freekick which was hit by Yağızalp Bayraktar. If Abdurrezzak Başok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Abdurrezzak Başok had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egemen Bayraktar. Kagithane SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdurrezzak Başok was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Nazmi Sözmen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Hazar Kayrahan made a huge save. A collision led to Kagithane SK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Güralp Karadeniz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Yavuz Selim Kapkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menderes FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Yavuz Selim Kapkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egemen Bayraktar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duran Günaydın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egemen Bayraktar having to interfere. Menderes FK's Hazar Kayrahan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alpay Özkan in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Menderes FK's goal looked a bit too open when Alpay Özkan came free, but Hazar Kayrahan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Bedri Özel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Abdurrezzak Başok fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menderes FK's protests and gave Abdurrezzak Başok a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Menderes FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdurrezzak Başok to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes, Yağızalp Bayraktar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menderes FK and the Kagithane SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Menderes FK got a freekick which was hit by Yağızalp Bayraktar. 46 minutes into the match, Menderes FK's goalkeeper Hazar Kayrahan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nazmi Sözmen. The Kagithane SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Menderes FK were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alpay Özkan to strike the kick off in the second half. Kagithane SK's Egemen Bayraktar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Kagithane SK from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Kagithane SK defense, Duran Günaydın kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egemen Bayraktar. The Kagithane SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egemen Bayraktar should have stopped the shot. Hazar Kayrahan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpay Özkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 62nd play minutes Abdurrezzak Başok shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Egemen Bayraktar and just under the crossbar into goal. If Abdurrezzak Başok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the game, Duran Günaydın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Egemen Bayraktar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abdurrezzak Başok's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egemen Bayraktar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Çetin Erdönmez's late challenge caught a Kagithane SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Çetin Erdönmez helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Menderes FK got a freekick which was hit by Çetin Erdönmez. Abdurrezzak Başok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Egemen Bayraktar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Duran Günaydın in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Egemen Bayraktar had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Hazar Kayrahan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazmi Sözmen in the 87th minute of the match. Abdurrezzak Başok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egemen Bayraktar having to interfere. The supporters of Kagithane SK booed when Menderes FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yağızalp Bayraktar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menderes FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
