In the 16th minute Rüstem Oğuztan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fahri Urangu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fahri Urangu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rüstem Oğuztan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Zeytinburnu booed when Istinye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a defensive mix-up in Zeytinburnu's zone, Gündüz Dürüst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onur Ali Aydınalp came out of the goal and Gündüz Dürüst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Istinye getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Fadıl İldemir hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Cengiz Tekinalp put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fahri Urangu. Rüstem Oğuztan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeytinburnu's Rüstem Oğuztan got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Çelik Kutsoy during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
