Ertan Canalp kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Ertan Acunman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kubilay Suavi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fahri Urangu having to interfere. Ahmet Hayri Yumus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ertan Canalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fahri Urangu having to interfere. GFB's Ertan Acunman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gündüz Dürüst in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when İlhan Ciray made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Doruk Özdeş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Istinye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GFB the free kick. Mehmet Emre Sefaaddin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ertan Acunman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Emre Sefaaddin in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, GFB's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Emre Sefaaddin came free, but Ertan Acunman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GFB's Ertan Acunman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gündüz Dürüst in the 79th minute of play. Arcan Osmanoğulları kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, İlhan Ciray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GFB's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlhan Ciray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gündüz Dürüst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ertan Acunman came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Istinye's Gündüz Dürüst. But to his dismay, Gündüz Dürüst quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, Istinye could leave the field as winners, despite GFB having more of the ball for most of the match.
