Mustafa Arif Orkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mürsel Sayraç having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Gamblers's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Arif Orkan came free, but Mürsel Sayraç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Istanbul SK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sabri Baloğlu hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Kutlualp Cerit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Ediz Yalçın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Metehan Aşkın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Hakan Uzma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Mürsel Sayraç made a huge save. Gamblers's Mürsel Sayraç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Gamblers from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Gamblers defense, Mustafa Hakan Uzma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mürsel Sayraç. The Gamblers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mürsel Sayraç should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Gamblers's Suat Seylan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Metehan Aşkın made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, Gamblers's Mürsel Sayraç got control of the ball when Mustafa Hakan Uzma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mustafa Hakan Uzma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mürsel Sayraç made a huge save. The supporters of Gamblers booed when Istanbul SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabri Baloğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mehmet Ediz Yalçın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Hakan Uzma in the 52nd minute of play forced Gamblers's goalkeeper Mürsel Sayraç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Sabri Baloğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kutlualp Cerit got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Gamblers booed when Istanbul SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutlualp Cerit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdulkadir Korkut hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Erdinç Cihaner. Istanbul SK's Metehan Aşkın proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Istanbul SK from getting a goal against them. Istanbul SK's Mustafa Hakan Uzma got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79thth minute of the game Mustafa Hakan Uzma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gamblers's Mürsel Sayraç was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Arif Orkan in the 80th minute of play forced Gamblers's goalkeeper Mürsel Sayraç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Gamblers's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Hakan Uzma came free, but Mürsel Sayraç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Behçet Taciroğlu took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mürsel Sayraç. Mürsel Sayraç dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mustafa Hakan Uzma struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mürsel Sayraç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Istanbul SK. If Mustafa Hakan Uzma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gamblers's goalkeeper Mürsel Sayraç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mürsel Sayraç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mustafa Hakan Uzma's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Istanbul SK fully deserved thier win.
