Mürsel Sayraç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgut Mengü, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vatan İhtişam in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mürsel Sayraç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dikilitas's Abdi Mehmet İlsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suat Seylan in the 12th minute of play. When Turgut Mengü came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Dikilitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turgut Mengü couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Dikilitas's Şimşek Yanaç got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mürsel Sayraç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turgut Mengü in the 27th minute of play. Mürsel Sayraç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan İhtişam, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Turgut Mengü managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dikilitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turgut Mengü was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 played minutes Gamblers got a freekick which was hit by Vatan Boztepe. In the 35th minute, Vatan Boztepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gamblers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Varol Akburç was slow to take the kick. During this time Dikilitas's players had a chance to rest. Dikilitas's Varol Akburç was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mürsel Sayraç in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Dikilitas booed when Gamblers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atabey Aymaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gamblers's goalkeeper Mürsel Sayraç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vatan İhtişam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Özal Zeynur's late challenge caught a Gamblers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vatan İhtişam couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Turgut Mengü left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dikilitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 69 played minutes Dikilitas got a freekick which was hit by Şimşek Yanaç. 75 minutes into the match, Vatan İhtişam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mürsel Sayraç, 0-2. If Vatan İhtişam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turgut Mengü could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Mürsel Sayraç made a huge save. When Özal Zeynur came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Dikilitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özal Zeynur couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the game, Vatan İhtişam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mürsel Sayraç. Vatan İhtişam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Vatan İhtişam got in the 93rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mürsel Sayraç handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Vatan İhtişam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Dikilitas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gamblers throughout the match.
