Rami's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göktürk Özbala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 18th minute Bekir Özal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Musa Sarper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 38th minute of the match Güntekin Hafi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Güntekin Hafi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Rami getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Güntekin Hafi hit a great ball. Musa Sarper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lütfü Demirman in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erdeniz Bostan to make the kick off. Lütfü Demirman might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Musa Sarper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lütfü Demirman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute, Karakoyunlu's Bekir Özal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Musa Sarper. Musa Sarper yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 61st minute, Bekir Özal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karakoyunlu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Naim Urhan struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Musa Sarper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karakoyunlu. Rami's Musa Sarper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rami from getting a goal against them. Bekir Özal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Rami's goalkeeper Musa Sarper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bekir Özal. 73 minutes into the game, Turan Zühtü was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rami's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karakoyunlu the free kick. Karakoyunlu played a much better game than Rami and deserved their victory. The Rami players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
