FC Lüleburgaz's Tuncer Eğilmez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Kartekin in the 2nd minute of play. Saip Belge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rahim Sarphan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, FC Lüleburgaz's Saip Belge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahim Sarphan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bedri Ümit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bedri Ümit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tuncer Eğilmez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game Engin Kartekin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lüleburgaz's Tuncer Eğilmez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Engin Kartekin might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tuncer Eğilmez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Engin Kartekin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Bedri Ümit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Eğilmez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saip Belge in the 31st minute of play forced Gerede's goalkeeper Rahim Sarphan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Seyfettin Erensoy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerede's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lüleburgaz the free kick. The supporters of FC Lüleburgaz booed when Gerede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyfettin Erensoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Bedri Ümit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lüleburgaz's Tuncer Eğilmez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Şimşek Seralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Eğilmez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bedri Ümit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuncer Eğilmez having to interfere. Engin Kartekin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC Lüleburgaz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gerede were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Engin Kartekin to strike the kick off in the second half. If Engin Kartekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Engin Kartekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bedri Ümit came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tuncer Eğilmez could save by the left post. Seyfettin Erensoy kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tuncer Eğilmez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bedri Ümit in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Engin Kartekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerede's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lüleburgaz the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Engin Kartekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rahim Sarphan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Ozan Ulutaş in the 73rd minute of the match. Bedri Ümit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Tuncer Eğilmez made a huge save. In the 84th minute Saip Belge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahim Sarphan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerede's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şimşek Seralp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Engin Kartekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerede's Bedri Ümit got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC Lüleburgaz getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ayberk Akalın hit a great ball. Bedri Ümit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerede's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
