Ilgin's Balaban Mecnun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ilgin from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Hacibektas's zone, Orhan Seyfi Candeğer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fazlı Ulutaş came out of the goal and Orhan Seyfi Candeğer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ilgin walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
