Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Derya Kutbay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arda Baybars Şükür was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yalçın Demiray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ant Türkdoğan in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Saffet Tengizalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kigi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Emrah Dağtekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yalçın Demiray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ant Türkdoğan in the 39th minute of play. Rüştü Hakim might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arda Baybars Şükür. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rüştü Hakim ran back to his position shaking his head. Demirözü FK's Arda Baybars Şükür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derya Kutbay in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kigi's goalkeeper Yalçın Demiray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Rüştü Hakim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arda Baybars Şükür, 1-3. Yalçın Demiray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedim Talaş in the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Kigi's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Cenk Tüzünalp came free, but Yalçın Demiray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Ant Türkdoğan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demirözü FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ant Türkdoğan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes in the game, Rüştü Hakim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arda Baybars Şükür having to interfere. Kigi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
