After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Ergün Sarih got a free kick in the 19th minute. Okan Serafet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birsel Dertsiz having to interfere. Okan Serafet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ataol Özkent spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of TRABZONSPOR's goal. 33 minutes into the match, Giresun JK's Yüksel Baştürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baran Bilge Türksan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ergün Sarih fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TRABZONSPOR's protests and gave Ergün Sarih a yellow card for diving instead.
