Şerafettin Kabataş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birsel Dertsiz having to interfere. Ataol Özkent might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tan Buğra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ataol Özkent ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ataol Özkent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tan Buğra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yüksel Baştürk went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Birsel Dertsiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Parskan in the 15th minute of play. Seyit Hüdayioğlu in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Birsel Dertsiz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Halis Parskan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birsel Dertsiz was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Giresun JK's Yüksel Baştürk got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Giresun JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cumhur Özkent to maneuver through the defense. Seyit Hüdayioğlu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Birsel Dertsiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yenipazar. Tan Buğra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yüksel Baştürk's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Cuma Mahmut sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tan Buğra skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yüksel Baştürk was the one to do the kick off. Tan Buğra made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Ataol Özkent sent off a good shot on target. Tan Buğra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ataol Özkent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yüksel Baştürk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tan Buğra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Yenipazar's goal looked a bit too open when Cumhur Özkent came free, but Tan Buğra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tan Buğra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yüksel Baştürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Şerafettin Kabataş's late challenge caught a Giresun JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şerafettin Kabataş helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Yenipazar got a freekick which was hit by Şerafettin Kabataş. Giresun JK's Ataol Özkent got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ataol Özkents short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Tan Buğra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 76 minutes into the game, Şerif Ilgıt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yenipazar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giresun JK the free kick. The supporters of Giresun JK booed when Yenipazar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şerif Ilgıt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tan Buğra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ataol Özkent went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Tan Buğra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yüksel Baştürk in the 83rd minute of play. Halil Bakkalbaşı hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Yenipazar's zone, Yüksel Baştürk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tan Buğra came out of the goal and Yüksel Baştürk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Giresun JK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
