The supporters of Diyadinspor booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mutlu Oğuztüzün didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kayhan Üstündağ didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hasan Özkutsal went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Şensoy Aksoy in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Atıf Özselen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 30 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Fethi Hekimoğlu came free, but Kayhan Üstündağ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fethi Hekimoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Fethi Hekimoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diyadinspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fethi Hekimoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fethi Hekimoğlu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Atıf Özselen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahsun Usun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Diyadinspor's Hasan Özkutsal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kayhan Üstündağ. That made the score 0-3 after 91 minutes of play. Fethi Hekimoğlu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kayhan Üstündağ came out and tried to block the shot, but Fethi Hekimoğlu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 96th minute. Diyadinspor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
