Atıf Özselen came out of the goal and Müjdat Yalçıner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tolunay Kural managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gs1905's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolunay Kural was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atıf Özselen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesur Palabıyık made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necat Yavuz in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Gs1905's Cesur Palabıyık got control of the ball when Hasan Özkutsal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atıf Özselen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devlet Vakkasoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fethi Hekimoğlu during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fethi Hekimoğlu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Gs1905's İsmail Hakkı İbiş got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fethi Hekimoğlu to make the kick off. Atıf Özselen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devlet Vakkasoğlu in the 51st minute of the match. Diyadinspor's Atıf Özselen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Diyadinspor from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Hasan Özkutsal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diyadinspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to Diyadinspor getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mesut Sahir hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Tacettin Himmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gs1905's Müjdat Yalçıner got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Müjdat Yalçıner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atıf Özselen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Doğuş Suni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesur Palabıyık showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gs1905 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Diyadinspor.
