Murathan Koryürek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erdem Tevfik having to interfere. With a little luck, Vashta Nerada FC's Erdem Tevfik got control of the ball when Murathan Koryürek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Kastamonuspor's Tamer Bartu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erdem Tevfik. Erdem Tevfik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Murathan Koryürek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A wasted opportunity for Kastamonuspor. After a defensive mix-up in Vashta Nerada FC's zone, Murathan Koryürek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdem Tevfik came out of the goal and Murathan Koryürek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Başar Tokyüz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, Kastamonuspor's Anıl Berk Rebi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erdem Tevfik came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kastamonuspor reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tamer Bartu to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Vashta Nerada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Bartu came free, but Erdem Tevfik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erdem Tevfik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murathan Koryürek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Tamer Bartu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdem Tevfik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gökhan Özilter charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gökhan Özilter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vashta Nerada FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Murathan Koryürek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erdem Tevfik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Anıl Berk Rebi, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tamer Bartu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Erdem Tevfik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vashta Nerada FC's Başar Tokyüz suffered a sore thigh after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 75th match minute, Kastamonuspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batur Barkın to maneuver through the defense. When Mutlu Temirkut fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vashta Nerada FC's protests and gave Mutlu Temirkut a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Vashta Nerada FC got a freekick which was hit by Mutlu Temirkut. In the 79thth minute of the game Tamer Bartu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vashta Nerada FC's Erdem Tevfik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vashta Nerada FC's zone, Tamer Bartu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdem Tevfik came out of the goal and Tamer Bartu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murathan Koryürek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tamer Bartu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Murathan Koryürek came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Kastamonuspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murathan Koryürek couldn't finish the play. Kastamonuspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
