Spectators: 7191 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tamer Bartu kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Fethi Hekimoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müfit Genişyürek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Caner Serdar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eyüp Cumali's late challenge caught a Diyadinspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eyüp Cumali helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Kastamonuspor got a freekick which was hit by Eyüp Cumali. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kastamonuspor's goalkeeper Müfit Genişyürek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hasan Özkutsal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arif Burak Tunçkol took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atıf Özselen. Diyadinspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 17 played minutes Kastamonuspor got a freekick which was hit by Caner Serdar. Müfit Genişyürek made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hasan Özkutsal sent off a good shot on target. Atıf Özselen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murathan Koryürek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Necat Yavuz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Hasan Özkutsal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hasan Özkutsal might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Müfit Genişyürek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hasan Özkutsal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 47 minutes, Hasan Özkutsal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diyadinspor and the Kastamonuspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Diyadinspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Özkutsal to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fethi Hekimoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fethi Hekimoğlu in the 53rd minute of play forced Kastamonuspor's goalkeeper Müfit Genişyürek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Müfit Genişyürek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fethi Hekimoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Müfit Genişyürek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fethi Hekimoğlu in the 58th minute of play. Kastamonuspor's Anıl Berk Rebi took a good shot, in the 61st minute, which hit the crossbar above Atıf Özselen's head, and flew over the goal. Diyadinspor's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Kastamonuspor. When Necat Yavuz fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diyadinspor's protests and gave Necat Yavuz a yellow card for diving instead. Necat Yavuz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Diyadinspor's Atıf Özselen got control of the ball when Murathan Koryürek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diyadinspor's Atıf Özselen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Diyadinspor from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Kastamonuspor's Arif Burak Tunçkol got a free kick in the 68th minute. Fethi Hekimoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Müfit Genişyürek having to interfere. In the 74th minute Fethi Hekimoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müfit Genişyürek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Tekin Akyazıcıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murathan Koryürek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Atıf Özselen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Asım Yüksel struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Atıf Özselen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kastamonuspor. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kastamonuspor! In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Diyadinspor. Cihan Aköz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Müfit Genişyürek. 2-0. Müfit Genişyürek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasan Özkutsal in the 91st minute of play. Müfit Genişyürek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fethi Hekimoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Murathan Koryürek came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Kastamonuspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murathan Koryürek couldn't finish the play. Kastamonuspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
