The referee showed Özgün Yalkı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Giresun SK got a freekick which was hit by Özgün Yalkı. Berker Zümer might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kuddusî Saye. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berker Zümer ran back to his position shaking his head. Giresun SK's Kuddusî Saye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğuş Pekinturk in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğuş Pekinturk in the 11th minute of play forced Giresun SK's goalkeeper Kuddusî Saye to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Doğuş Pekinturk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinçer İlsak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ertuğrul Has in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute of the match, Ahmet Ege Alişan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinçer İlsak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ahmet Ege Alişan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dinçer İlsak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Dinçer İlsak managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Giresun SK's Ertuğrul Has fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Körfez FK's goalkeeper Dinçer İlsak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ertuğrul Has. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Ege Alişan in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinçer İlsak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ertuğrul Has fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinçer İlsak having to interfere. Ahmet Ege Alişan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Dinçer İlsak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Körfez FK's Bedri Akağan managed to work through Giresun SK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bedri Akağan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ahmet Ege Alişans short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Dinçer İlsak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dinçer İlsak was a little too slow when Ahmet Ege Alişan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doğuş Pekinturk to make the kick off. Körfez FK's Dinçer İlsak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertuğrul Has in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 minutes, Ertuğrul Has made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Körfez FK's Dinçer İlsak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Körfez FK's zone, Ertuğrul Has stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinçer İlsak came out of the goal and Ertuğrul Has tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Kuddusî Saye successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 64th match minute, Körfez FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bican Akbatur to maneuver through the defense. Harun Kayıboylu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dinçer İlsak. Körfez FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game Ertuğrul Has who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Körfez FK's Dinçer İlsak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Körfez FK's Dinçer İlsak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertuğrul Has in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute Bican Akbatur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuddusî Saye saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Körfez FK defense, Ahmet Ege Alişan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinçer İlsak. The Körfez FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinçer İlsak should have stopped the shot. Dinçer İlsak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ege Alişan's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Özgün Yalkı got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st match minute, Giresun SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özgün Yalkı to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Giresun SK's goalkeeper Kuddusî Saye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berker Zümer. Ertuğrul Has took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dinçer İlsak. Dinçer İlsak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There was no doubt that Giresun SK were the better team. Giresun SK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
