Enginsu Ayhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yenal Özdağ got free with Enginsu Ayhan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galatasaray's Erim Üzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saadettin Buminhan in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yenal Özdağ in the 18th minute of play forced Lüleburgaz FK's goalkeeper Enginsu Ayhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yalçın Babürşah hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Lüleburgaz FK's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 82nd minute of the game, when Doğa Ulgu after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Galatasaray's goal. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galatasaray fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lüleburgaz FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
