The referee ignored Karaköy's protests and gave Mustafa Hakan Özbay a yellow card for diving instead. Mustafa Hakan Özbay kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Findikli getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gökhun Mertkal hit a great ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Findikli's goalkeeper Ekrem Baray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferid Sezmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artaç Ayık having to interfere. Cemal İsrafil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ekrem Baray made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yağızalp Dalayer in the 39th minute of play forced Findikli's goalkeeper Ekrem Baray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yağızalp Dalayer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Karaköy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Cemal İsrafil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cemal İsrafils short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Ekrem Baray to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 45 minutes in the game, Yağızalp Dalayer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ekrem Baray having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yağızalp Dalayer to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Cemal İsrafil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ekrem Baray was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 54th minute, one of Findikli:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Findikli. In the 60th minute Yağızalp Dalayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekrem Baray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Yağızalp Dalayer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ekrem Baray. Findikli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yağızalp Dalayer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Yağızalp Dalayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cemal İsrafil in the 84th minute of play forced Findikli's goalkeeper Ekrem Baray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Findikli's Mustafa Kemal İbiş shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Artaç Ayık but with some difficulty. Ekrem Baray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Metin Akıncı in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Cemal İsrafil made a precise shot to the right of Ekrem Baray. Findikli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Karaköy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
