Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Erol İşcan kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Çan Spor KALE 17's Ali Kürşat Zoral got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Hamza Tuğtaşı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çan Spor KALE 17's Mikail Bardakçıoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Çan Spor KALE 17 booed when Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erol İşcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Çan Spor KALE 17 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hayrullah Malkoç hit a great ball. Erol İşcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mikail Bardakçıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erol İşcan came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erol İşcan couldn't finish the play. Erol İşcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes in the game, Rıza Şerif fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hazım Keyfer having to interfere. Ahmet Gündüz Filiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hazım Keyfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamza Tuğtaşı struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dursun Gemici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bornova. In the 38th minute, Erdinç Sadan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dursun Gemici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamza Tuğtaşı in the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Hacı Ali Öktemer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bornova's supporters rose to their feet, but Hacı Ali Öktemer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dursun Gemici breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rıza Şerif to make the kick off. Erdinç Sadan hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Çan Spor KALE 17 got a freekick which was hit by Berkan Üstünbay. In the 69th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamza Tuğtaşı to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rıza Şerif in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hazım Keyfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Erdinç Sadan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rıza Şerif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kürşat Nazım kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Alptuğ Resul, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Hacı Ali Öktemer hit a great ball. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Çan Spor KALE 17! After 95 minutes of play, Bornova's Hamza Tuğtaşı made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dursun Gemici was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erdinç Sadan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hazım Keyfer having to interfere. The Çan Spor KALE 17 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bornova to win.
