Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Giresunspor's goalkeeper Feyyaz Şanlı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orhan Seyfi Tankut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MISTIK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orhan Seyfi Tankut was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feyyaz Şanlı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Turgut Onat came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Giresunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turgut Onat couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Giresunspor's zone, Orhan Seyfi Tankut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feyyaz Şanlı came out of the goal and Orhan Seyfi Tankut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Giresunspor's Yağızhan Özsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuri Işıker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Giresunspor's Feyyaz Şanlı got control of the ball when Orhan Seyfi Tankut tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the match Yakut Onuker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feyyaz Şanlı skillfully saved the ball. Giresunspor's Feyyaz Şanlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cebrail Ercan in the 55th minute of play. Feyyaz Şanlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orhan Seyfi Tankut in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Yağızhan Özsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giresunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Yağızhan Özsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuri Işıker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Cebrail Ercan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Feyyaz Şanlı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlbey Hakyemez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gökmen Bedük's late challenge caught a MISTIK FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gökmen Bedük helped the player get up and apologised. Gökmen Bedük hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Orhan Seyfi Tankut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Giresunspor booed when MISTIK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enginalp Üstüner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Giresunspor's Yağızhan Özsu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuri Işıker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Nazmi Akcebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. MISTIK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nazmi Akcebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feyyaz Şanlı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The MISTIK FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Giresunspor to win.
