With a left leg Veysel Laçin saved Gençlik from getting behind. Yildirim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when İzzettin Umut scored to the left of an out of position Hakkı Onur Zaik, making the score, 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Yildirim's goal looked a bit too open when İzzettin Umut came free, but Hakkı Onur Zaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veysel Laçin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdülhak Özdeğer, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Ali Genç got free with Hakkı Onur Zaik in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hakkı Onur Zaik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Ali Genç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gençlik walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
