The supporters of Republic of Fenerbahce booed when Spectacular Turkish Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cüneyt Kantürk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İsmail Yeltekin in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kerim Baytüze prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Göktuğ Helvacı charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Spectacular Turkish Team's protests and gave Anıl Ozan Boran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Şenel Saip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mehmet Fatih İlksel came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Republic of Fenerbahce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Fatih İlksel couldn't finish the play. Reha Korgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oğuzhan Uluerkan in the 33rd minute of play. Oğuzhan Uluerkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Republic of Fenerbahce players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spectacular Turkish Team were winning 0-1.
