Ahmet Erdem Cantekin charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Erdem Cantekin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Ziya Akboy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Raik Mertol made a huge save. If Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arkın Yenay fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenerbahçe's protests and gave Arkın Yenay a yellow card for diving instead. Arkın Yenay hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Gencay Bergin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cankut Selami. Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fenerbahçe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sarper Suni in the 50th minute. After taking down the ball on Fenerbahçe's corner Sarper Suni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Raik Mertol quite easily take care of the ball.

54 minutes into the match, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu came free, but Raik Mertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Ahmet Erdem Cantekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Raik Mertol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Raik Mertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu in the 67th minute of play. Mecnun Dölek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cankut Selami came out and tried to block the shot, but Mecnun Dölek slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 80th minute. If Ziya Akboy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziya Akboy in the 88th minute of play forced ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Raik Mertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raik Mertol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bektaş Ali Keçecioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tahir Berin in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raik Mertol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mecnun Dölek managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Mecnun Dölek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cankut Selami breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ziya Akboy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenerbahçe fully deserved thier win.
