Spectators: 6403 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aziz Olcay kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bayındır Rafet during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Van got a freekick which was hit by Bayındır Rafet. Arif Nihat Tarık made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Göksun İlkcan sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cevher Akıncıbey in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Nihat Tarık prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Onuralp Adaş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soner Taşan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Van's Aziz Olcay got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Ahmet Ziya Pekdemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ's Orhan Veli Kocaker got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Van got a corner. FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aziz Olcay ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Soner Taşan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Onuralp Adaş was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22nd minute Aziz Olcay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onuralp Adaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ got a freekick which was hit by Haydar Çetinay. In the 33rd minute of the match Bilge Kağan Özdoğru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Onuralp Adaş showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Van's Aziz Olcay made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Onuralp Adaş was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Van booed when FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamer Yağızkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aziz Olcay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cevher Akıncıbey was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Göksun İlkcan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Nihat Tarık. Van's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göksun İlkcan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Aziz Olcay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Van's Soner Taşan in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute, Göksun İlkcan made a precise shot to the right of Arif Nihat Tarık. Van's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Aziz Olcay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Onuralp Adaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Güralp Balcı hit a great ball. Aziz Olcay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bayındır Rafet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Soner Taşan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onuralp Adaş having to interfere. FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ's Göksun İlkcan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Göksun İlkcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC DEVEBAGIRTAN GÜCÜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Göksun İlkcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Nihat Tarık breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
