Mustafa Hamit Köklem was a little too slow when İlyas Tolga Özer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. After a rather tough play, FC Zürich's Soulis Vertsotis got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İsmail Hakkı İlcan to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Zürich booed when Öperlerspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayrettin Salik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kerem Tekinsoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İsmail Hakkı İlcan's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 90 minutes of play Öperlerspor's Ertuğrul Kiray was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
