Atay İnciroğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Haluk Hidayettin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bozkurt Akpınar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 11 minute of play. After 13 played minutes Pendik got a freekick which was hit by Reşat Sümre. Sadri Erdoğdu's late challenge caught a Adana FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sadri Erdoğdu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Sadri Erdoğdu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nazım Başayoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Bozkurt Akpınar took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Haluk Hidayettin to make any attempt to save it. Atay İnciroğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cumhur Yalkı in the 35th minute of play. If Ahmet Yahya Taşkınay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reşat Sümre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atay İnciroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Selmi Bekdil hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Atay İnciroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cumhur Yalkı, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bozkurt Akpınar to make the kick off. Cumhur Yalkı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Pendik's goal looked a bit too open when Bozkurt Akpınar came free, but Haluk Hidayettin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ahmet Yahya Taşkınay came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Pendik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Yahya Taşkınay couldn't finish the play. Haluk Hidayettin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bozkurt Akpınar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Pendik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulmelik Erez to maneuver through the defense. Cumhur Yalkı received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Atay İnciroğlu came out and tried to block the shot, but Cumhur Yalkı slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 69th minute. Bozkurt Akpınar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haluk Hidayettin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bozkurt Akpınar in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haluk Hidayettin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Pendik's Cumhur Yalkı dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Atay İnciroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cumhur Yalkı, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Cumhur Yalkı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Atay İnciroğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Ahmet Yahya Taşkınay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Atay İnciroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pendik had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
