The supporters of Elbeyli booed when Sipahi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şafak Ruhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vahdet Lema during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, one of Elbeyli:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 36 minutes, Nizam Ceyhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elbeyli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nizam Ceyhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sipahi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Altay Harmanda should have stopped the shot. Kılıçhan Torel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yağız Özboga to make the kick off. Sipahi FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Recep Tayyip Numan in the 94th minute. The corner led Sipahi FC's Kılıçhan Torel to fire away a dangerous shot which Şimşek Bilen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sipahi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elbeyli had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
