In the 18th minute, Fazlı Temur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Elbeyli getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Erkut Ermiye hit a great ball. İzzettin Turgut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhsin Tuncel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Nizam Ceyhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elbeyli's supporters rose to their feet, but Nizam Ceyhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İzzettin Turgut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Şimşek Bilen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cihat Arslangiray in the 26th minute of play. Şimşek Bilen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cihat Arslangiray went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hasan Tahsin Demirkan during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
