Tuncay Önder's late challenge caught a fc urganlı's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tuncay Önder helped the player get up and apologised. Nurettin Vaha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkın Uygan in the 24th minute of play. When Samet Sümeroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TAŞspor's protests and gave Samet Sümeroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Güral Orsel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Seyhan Derinöz made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taner Tanaydin to make the kick off. İlhami Sair hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Güral Orsel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
