Mehmet Hakkı Sargıns short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Asım Metin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Asım Metin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sefa Suheyl, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd minute of the match Arif Cengiz Bilgiç shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ayhan Özerman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Tuncay Hasanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rauf Yahya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ayhan Özerman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Ayhan Özerman managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Güroymak's Rauf Yahya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tuncay Hasanoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güroymak's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuncay Hasanoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ayhan Özerman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asım Metin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sefa Suheyl in the 64th minute of play. Rauf Yahya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
