An unexpectedly hard shot by Devran Özbekkan in the 51st minute of play forced Şirinevler SK's goalkeeper Dinçer Beysun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Tarsus İdman Yurdu's Mansur Özmert got control of the ball when Servet Lefter tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Aygün Durak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Şirinevler SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aygün Durak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mansur Özmert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Servet Lefter notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Tarsus İdman Yurdu's Mansur Özmert. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Aygün Durak dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mansur Özmert, 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aygün Durak in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mansur Özmert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aygün Durak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Mansur Özmert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 90th match minute, Tarsus İdman Yurdu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karahan Yavuzer to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Şirinevler SK's zone, Ahmet Rıfat Hünkar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinçer Beysun came out of the goal and Ahmet Rıfat Hünkar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Şirinevler SK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Şirinevler SK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
