In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray's goalkeeper Muharrem Denizalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Galatasaray's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lüleburgaz SK's Kaptan Uruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kubilay Fırat in the 15th minute of play. Kaptan Uruk stood somewhat misplaced when Kubilay Fırat came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 16 minute. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Hüseyin Cahit Derim got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Mesut Tolun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray's Muharrem Denizalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Mesut Tolun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Hulusi Kamil came free, but Muharrem Denizalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lüleburgaz SK's Nejat Otaran got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Lüleburgaz SK's goalkeeper Kaptan Uruk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hüseyin Rahmi Şennur. The audience was convinced that Hulusi Kamil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Muharrem Denizalp was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Onur Özpulat's late challenge caught a Lüleburgaz SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onur Özpulat helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Lüleburgaz SK a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zülfü Seyfullah, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galatasaray's Muharrem Denizalp. 1-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hulusi Kamil to strike the kick off in the second half. When Enginsu Ozan fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lüleburgaz SK's protests and gave Enginsu Ozan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Lüleburgaz SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enginsu Ozan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hüseyin Rahmi Şennur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaptan Uruk having to interfere. Hulusi Kamil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Muharrem Denizalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mesut Tolun in the 71st minute. Seyhan Pekant kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Mesut Tolun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Muharrem Denizalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Lüleburgaz SK's Hulusi Kamil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Muharrem Denizalp narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
