After 48 played minutes Kuntman got a freekick which was hit by Güvenç İlhanoğlu. Mesut Tolun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Cavit Umut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Hulusi Kamil made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mesut Tolun sped through Kuntman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cavit Umut. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mesut Tolun got free with Cavit Umut in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
