Mustafa Haydar Baysan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Damian Măgurean sent off a good shot on target. Atıf Bakır's late challenge caught a UrfaGücü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atıf Bakır helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Carsamba SK got a freekick which was hit by Atıf Bakır. After a defensive mix-up in UrfaGücü's zone, Hüsamettin Ergüden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Haydar Baysan came out of the goal and Hüsamettin Ergüden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hüsamettin Ergüden hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu in the 22nd minute of play forced Carsamba SK's goalkeeper Baysal Yasık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Sermet Kumukbay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baysal Yasık. Carsamba SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sermet Kumukbay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 26th minute Sermet Kumukbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baysal Yasık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Măgurean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Mevlüt Saatçioğlu put in a rough tackle. In the 31st match minute, Carsamba SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mevlüt Saatçioğlu to maneuver through the defense. When Sermet Kumukbay came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the UrfaGücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sermet Kumukbay couldn't finish the play. Baysal Yasık showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu in the 34th minute of the match. Carsamba SK's Baysal Yasık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sermet Kumukbay in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Sermet Kumukbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baysal Yasık was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu in the 41st minute of play forced Carsamba SK's goalkeeper Baysal Yasık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Damian Măgurean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carsamba SK and the UrfaGücü players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carsamba SK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Damian Măgurean hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baysal Yasık. Carsamba SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half UrfaGücü were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu was the one to do the kick off. Paşa Okatan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baysal Yasık was a little too slow when Oktay Nursal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-4. Baysal Yasık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oktay Nursal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baysal Yasık showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Baysal Yasık didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sermet Kumukbay went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Sermet Kumukbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baysal Yasık having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paşa Okatan during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Carsamba SK got a freekick which was hit by Paşa Okatan. Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Kılıçdaroğlu in the 82nd minute of play forced Carsamba SK's goalkeeper Baysal Yasık to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paşa Okatan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paşa Okatan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hüsamettin Ergüden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mustafa Haydar Baysan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uluç Baykam charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uluç Baykam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of UrfaGücü:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carsamba SK:s goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UrfaGücü had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
