Savaşer Kongar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şentürk Erginalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şentürk Erginalp in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Savaşer Kongar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karapinar's goalkeeper Savaşer Kongar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Karapinar's Aral Necdet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Güngör Rafih. Güngör Rafih yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Batu Uluman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Güngör Rafih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Şentürk Erginalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Karapinar's goal looked a bit too open when Şentürk Erginalp came free, but Savaşer Kongar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Karapinar's zone, Yahya Şenbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savaşer Kongar came out of the goal and Yahya Şenbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aral Necdet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Güngör Rafih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aral Necdet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Şentürk Erginalp fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Savaşer Kongar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şentürk Erginalp in the 59th minute of the match. Şentürk Erginalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karapinar's goalkeeper Savaşer Kongar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Erdek FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lefter Torcan to maneuver through the defense. Güngör Rafih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batu Uluman in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, one of Karapinar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Karapinar. The goalkeeper, Savaşer Kongar, was totally fooled by Erdek FK's Dilmen Temizer, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
