The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Bülent Üstüner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Halil İbrahim Doğulu's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in karatop FK's zone, Şensoy Revnak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Koralp Nusret came out of the goal and Şensoy Revnak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Koralp Nusret didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Kirklareli's goal looked a bit too open when Olcay Orkun Özyay came free, but Ahmet Bülent Üstüner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Koralp Nusret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökalp Temizalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Ahmet Hasan Tanyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Kirklareli got a freekick which was hit by Gökalp Temizalp. 25 minutes into the match, karatop FK's goal looked a bit too open when Gökalp Temizalp came free, but Ahmet Koralp Nusret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vahap Pekgöz charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vahap Pekgöz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of karatop FK booed when Kirklareli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babür Baba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, karatop FK's Ali Hamza Tapgaç tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olcay Orkun Özyay in the 43rd minute of play forced Kirklareli's goalkeeper Ahmet Bülent Üstüner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şensoy Revnak got free with Ahmet Koralp Nusret in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şensoy Revnak struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ahmet Koralp Nusret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kirklareli.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olcay Orkun Özyay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Taci Gazel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kirklareli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After having played for 55 minutes, Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. karatop FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Koralp Nusret came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Kirklareli's Şensoy Revnak. But to his dismay, Şensoy Revnak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ahmet Bülent Üstüner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Halil İbrahim Doğulu during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, karatop FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halil İbrahim Doğulu to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Kirklareli's Gökalp Temizalp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Koralp Nusret narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mehmet Hakkı Tüzmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kirklareli's Atabek Tufan got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute Halil İbrahim Kutcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Koralp Nusret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şensoy Revnak in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Koralp Nusret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Kirklareli's goal looked a bit too open when Olcay Orkun Özyay came free, but Ahmet Bülent Üstüner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Koralp Nusret came out of the goal and Şensoy Revnak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirklareli's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
