Boğaçhan Buminhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Güral Demirağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kıvanç Sergen having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Güral Demirağ got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 27 minutes, Güral Demirağ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gedik SK and the Gevas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Güral Demirağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Gevas's goal looked a bit too open when Necdet Zirve came free, but Kıvanç Sergen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Güral Demirağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Necdet Zirve in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kıvanç Sergen saved Gevas from getting behind. Güral Demirağ struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kıvanç Sergen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gedik SK. Mustafa İzzet Yusuf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Necdet Zirve to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Necdet Zirve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Güral Demirağ made a precise shot to the right of Kıvanç Sergen. Gevas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Saruhan Akbaba's late challenge caught a Gedik SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kıvanç Sergen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güral Demirağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kıvanç Sergen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güral Demirağ in the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Güral Demirağ in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kıvanç Sergen saved Gevas from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Gevas's goal looked a bit too open when Necdet Zirve came free, but Kıvanç Sergen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Saruhan Akbaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
