The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute Hakkı Devrim Usluer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çeliker Ağca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cankurtaran FK booed when Beyagac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nizam Sabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hakkı Devrim Usluer in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Çeliker Ağca saved Beyagac from getting behind. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nizam Sabi to make the kick off. Cankurtaran FK were furious when Faruk Nafiz Vural was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After some careless play in the Beyagac defense, Lokman Türemen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Çeliker Ağca. The Beyagac fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çeliker Ağca should have stopped the shot. Atıf Müşfik missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 66 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Çeliker Ağca right hand side. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Lokman Türemen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ali Berkant Seyhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Adnan Yağızkan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beyagac and the Cankurtaran FK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
