After 11 played minutes Köprübasi got a freekick which was hit by Volkan Polatalp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burhan Acemoğlu in the 14th minute of play forced Köprübasi's goalkeeper Levent Gümüşsoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bahce FK's Hadi Orhun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabri Ongay in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bahce FK's Ahmet Asım Tanuğur got a free kick in the 18th minute. Köprübasi's Levent Gümüşsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burhan Acemoğlu in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Bahce FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Göktuğ Yiğitoğlu came free, but Hadi Orhun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlhami Musa in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levent Gümüşsoy saved Köprübasi from getting behind. Bahce FK's Burhan Acemoğlu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 38 played minutes Bahce FK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Asım Tanuğur. When Recep Talha Onatkan came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Köprübasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Recep Talha Onatkan couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Burhan Acemoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bahce FK's Hadi Orhun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Recep Talha Onatkan in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Volkan Polatalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hadi Orhun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Burhan Acemoğlu made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Köprübasi's goal looked a bit too open when İlhami Musa came free, but Levent Gümüşsoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bahce FK's Hadi Orhun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Bahce FK from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Göktuğ Yiğitoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Volkan Polatalp made a precise shot to the right of Hadi Orhun. Bahce FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, İlhami Musa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahce FK's supporters rose to their feet, but İlhami Musa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levent Gümüşsoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Köprübasi getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Volkan Polatalp hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Burhan Acemoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahce FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Burhan Acemoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levent Gümüşsoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlhami Musa in the 79th managed to get into a good position. After a defensive mix-up in Bahce FK's zone, Recep Talha Onatkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hadi Orhun came out of the goal and Recep Talha Onatkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Levent Gümüşsoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlhami Musa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Burhan Acemoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bahce FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Köprübasi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
