An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasin Cingöz in the 3rd minute of play forced Ottoman Empire's goalkeeper Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cihat Özerek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü having to interfere. Polat Hattat in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lokman Rasi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Sermet Pozan fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Sermet Pozan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sermet Pozan hit a great ball. Polat Hattat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lokman Rasi having to interfere. Polat Hattat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lokman Rasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sermet Pozan to maneuver through the defense. Lokman Rasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cüneyt Ayaydın in the 26th minute of the match. In the 32nd play minute Polat Hattat came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lokman Rasi. 2-0. Cihat Özerek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of GALATASARAY booed when Ottoman Empire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsmet Yücealp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polat Hattat might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lokman Rasi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Polat Hattat ran back to his position shaking his head. When Yasin Cingöz came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yasin Cingöz couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cüneyt Ayaydın to make the kick off. Yasin Cingöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cihat Özerek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY's zone, Cüneyt Ayaydın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lokman Rasi came out of the goal and Cüneyt Ayaydın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Yasin Cingöz came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yasin Cingöz couldn't finish the play. Cihat Özerek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Yasin Cingöz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü, 2-2. GALATASARAY's Lokman Rasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polat Hattat in the 81st minute of play. Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cihat Özerek in the 85th minute. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. İldeniz Uyar hit a great ball. Keramettin Darcan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lokman Rasi. GALATASARAY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarkan Batüralp in the 89th minute of play forced Ottoman Empire's goalkeeper Necip Fazıl Gümüşcü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tarkan Batüralp kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Polat Hattat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
