The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alpay Nurtekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melih Esentürk in the 3rd minute. When Edip Karluk fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orduspor's protests and gave Edip Karluk a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Orduspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! After 9 played minutes Orduspor got a freekick which was hit by Aycan Alkım. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erhun Sağanalp in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alpay Nurtekin saved Orduspor from getting behind. Alpay Nurtekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erhun Sağanalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Alparslan Barçın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darende's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alparslan Barçın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Erhun Sağanalp came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Darende fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erhun Sağanalp couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erhun Sağanalp in the 25th minute of play forced Orduspor's goalkeeper Alpay Nurtekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Erhun Sağanalp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alpay Nurtekin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th match minute, Darende was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melih Esentürk to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Aycan Alkım hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talat Fırat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anıl Ozan Somer in the 46th minute of the match. Erhun Sağanalp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alpay Nurtekin came out and tried to block the shot, but Erhun Sağanalp slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erhun Sağanalp to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macit Belek in the 58th minute of play forced Orduspor's goalkeeper Alpay Nurtekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orduspor's Alpay Nurtekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erhun Sağanalp in the 70th minute of play. If Melih Esentürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alpay Nurtekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhun Sağanalp in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Erhun Sağanalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alpay Nurtekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
