Fethi Oktay charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fethi Oktay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Müfit Bilge was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. İbrahim Ethem Avşaroğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Balamir Onursan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Kars's goal looked a bit too open when Orhan Hanedan came free, but Bektaş Özender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kars booed when AKAN FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reşit Orgen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Sergen Aydıntan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AKAN FK's Balamir Onursan didn't even have to move. Orhan Hanedan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enver Elfaz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 32 played minutes, Kars's Sergen Aydıntan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Balamir Onursan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kars reached it. Bektaş Özender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekber Pamirhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kars's goalkeeper Bektaş Özender, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceyhan Bozlak made a kick off. Balamir Onursan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İbrahim Ethem Avşaroğlu in the 52nd minute of play. Orhan Hanedan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, AKAN FK's Tayfur Uyar got a free kick in the 62nd minute. İbrahim Ethem Avşaroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tayfur Uyar hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Bektaş Özender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enver Elfaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ahmet Erdem Tomurcuk hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Orhan Hanedan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Kars's zone, Enver Elfaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bektaş Özender came out of the goal and Enver Elfaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orhan Hanedan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
