The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Fikret Afacan during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ahmet Fikret Afacan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Erhan Kavaş came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pasabahce FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erhan Kavaş couldn't finish the play. Ataman Demirman's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Garip Adaş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ersin Nevzat was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The referee ignored Trabzonspor's protests and gave Ali Asım Mahir a yellow card for diving instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ant Mustafa to make the kick off. Trabzonspor's Garip Adaş got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pasabahce FK's Ersin Nevzat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Pasabahce FK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Trabzonspor booed when Pasabahce FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asım Arif Ulutaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dursun Ali Özdamar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aziz Ataergin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ant Mustafa in the 79th minute of play forced Pasabahce FK's goalkeeper Ersin Nevzat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dursun Ali Özdamar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dursun Ali Özdamar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pasabahce FK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Trabzonspor for a fine match.
