The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mustafa Ali Yetkin took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Nejat Acartürk. Ali Nejat Acartürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necat Emekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Necat Emekli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Nejat Acartürk was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Sarköy's Turgay Oker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Nejat Acartürk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Nejat Acartürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Necat Emekli in the 30th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Özden Titiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Nejat Acartürk skillfully saved the ball. If Turgay Oker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turgay Oker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Nejat Acartürk having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Necat Emekli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Hamza Aşık during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sarköy's Varol Osman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Öztürk Hicran in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Sarköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Ali Yetkin to maneuver through the defense. The Sarköy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
