The Menderes fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Menderes's Haşim Saylan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Menderes getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bircan Erşahan hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gürkan Kudsi during the 24th minute. Ogün Songur was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erdi Sehim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Haşim Saylan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menderes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haşim Saylan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Menderes's supporters rose to their feet, but Haşim Saylan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Necaettin Ergunalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
