Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Namık Kemal Özkent started the match with the kick off. Menderes's Haşim Saylan got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 minutes, Duran Zühtü mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karagümrük JK and the Menderes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Karagümrük JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duran Zühtü to maneuver through the defense. Akif Balkar was a little too slow when Haşim Saylan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karagümrük JK's goalkeeper Akif Balkar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Menderes's Ogün Songur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necaettin Umut in the 22nd minute of play. Akif Balkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haşim Saylan in the 24th minute of play. Akif Balkar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haşim Saylan in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Menderes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haşim Saylan to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Erberk Cinel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute Haşim Saylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akif Balkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haşim Saylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Oğuz Baytüzün hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Karagümrük JK's Akif Balkar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Karagümrük JK from getting a goal against them. Necaettin Umut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes, Gürkan Kudsi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menderes and the Karagümrük JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Karagümrük JK booed when Menderes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürkan Kudsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Necaettin Umut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karagümrük JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Necaettin Umut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haşim Saylan to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Karagümrük JK's goal looked a bit too open when Erberk Cinel came free, but Akif Balkar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Haşim Saylan came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Menderes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haşim Saylan couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute Haşim Saylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akif Balkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Karagümrük JK's zone, Erberk Cinel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akif Balkar came out of the goal and Erberk Cinel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Haşim Saylan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menderes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 70 minutes into the match, Menderes's goal looked a bit too open when Namık Kemal Özkent came free, but Ogün Songur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Oğuz Baytüzün hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Cevat Tuz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Akif Balkar skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Haşim Saylan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menderes's supporters rose to their feet, but Haşim Saylan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akif Balkar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Karagümrük JK booed when Menderes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürkan Kudsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes, Karagümrük JK's Ruhi Hepyener shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ogün Songur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karagümrük JK reached it. Yakup Yiğitkan charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yakup Yiğitkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yakup Yiğitkan hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Necaettin Umut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ogün Songur having to interfere. Ogün Songur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Namık Kemal Özkent in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Haşim Saylan notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Karagümrük JK's Akif Balkar. Akif Balkar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 played minutes Menderes got a freekick which was hit by Ali Berkant Civanmert. Ogün Songur made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ruhi Hepyener sent off a good shot on target. Akif Balkar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haşim Saylan in the 95th minute of the match. Menderes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Namık Kemal Özkent 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. Karagümrük JK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
