Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Namık Kemal Özkent got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Muammer Sidar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karagümrük JK and the Denizlispor FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tuna Azimoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Akif Balkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Namık Kemal Özkent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serkan Sina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game Namık Kemal Özkent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Denizlispor FK's Serkan Sina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Necaettin Umut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karagümrük JK's Necaettin Umut got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serkan Sina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Necaettin Umut in the 20th minute of the match. Duran Zühtü charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duran Zühtü the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Duran Zühtü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Namık Kemal Özkent in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serkan Sina saved Denizlispor FK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Denizlispor FK's zone, Necaettin Umut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serkan Sina came out of the goal and Necaettin Umut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Denizlispor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Namık Kemal Özkent came free, but Serkan Sina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necaettin Umut scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serkan Sina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tuna Azimoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuna Azimoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Denizlispor FK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tuna Azimoğlu hit a great ball. Namık Kemal Özkent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tuna Azimoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denizlispor FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuna Azimoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akif Balkar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Karagümrük JK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tuna Azimoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Necaettin Umut in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serkan Sina, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 56th minute of the match Karagümrük JK got a corner. Denizlispor FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruhi Hepyener ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Namık Kemal Özkent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
